Email Print Share TEAM CANADA MEMBERS HOSTING A FUNDRAISER THIS WEEKEND - ALLISTON MEMORIAL ARENA 2019-05-03 NTBHL members Justin Maiolino, Gianluca Pallotta and Giuliana Pallotta are one month away from representing Canada at the Men's / Women's World Championships in Kosice, Slovakia..... The 2019 ISBHF World Championships will be held from June 14 - 22, 2019 in Košice, Slovakia LETTER FROM THE PLAYERS I am writing on behalf of myself, Giuliana Pallotta, as well as on behalf of Justin Maiolino, and Gianluca Pallotta, my cousin. We have been selected from across Canada to represent Team Canada in the International Ball Hockey Federation Games in Kosice, Slovakia this coming June 2019. I will be representing the Women’s Team Canada, while Gianluca and Justin will be representing the Men’s team. This is the first time ever men from the New Tecumseth Ball Hockey League(NTBHL) have ever been representing Team Canada. People assume making a team of this magnitude that all expenses are covered and that cannot be farther from the truth. We do get a numbers of sponsorships which covers our tournament fees, some meals, some supplies but a large sum of our expenses comes from our own pockets and that of our parents. We have organized a fundraiser at the Alliston Memorial Arena this weekend. We are hosting a ball hockey tournament this Friday May 3 rd 6:30pm-10:30 and Saturday May 4th 8:30am-6:00pm as well we have raffle items up for grabs including liquor basket, 2 Leaf jerseys (Matthews and Tavares). We would like to invite the public to come by meet us or watch us play and enter the raffle. It means a lot to each of us to represent New Tecumseth especially at this level. We are asking for financial assistance to help make our dreams become a reality. The cost of flights, accommodation, and ground transportation is over $3000 per player.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
